Glasgow Film Theatre is a cinema like no other, offering a uniquely warm cinemagoing experience all year round. But don’t take our word for it; here’s a selection of our reviews from Google and TripAdvisor:
This is the best cinema in Glasgow. An institution. Good mix of cult/indie cinema and blockbusters. Lovely decor.
Possibly best cinema in Scotland, one of a dying breed. Independently owned, wonderful Deco building, it's still got a really 'old-timey' feel inside, but not dirty or musty. It shows a wide range of films, foreign language, art, etc. Ticket prices are very reasonable. Highly recommended.
Definitely the best cinema in Glasgow, if not Scotland. Fantastic range of fascinating films from around the world, old and new. Beautiful Art Deco building, lovingly maintained by dedicated staff. You'll never want to go to a chain multiplex again.
Visited on Christmas Eve afternoon to watch It's a Wonderful Life with the kids. In my opinion this is how a visit to see a film should be. If you are looking for the trappings of your local multiplex then this is not for you. This is all about enjoying the film. No popcorn or buckets of cola being slurped. The adults took mulled wine into the cinema and our kids took in a small soft drink. Big comfy seats with loads of legroom. The film was great as always. . .gets the family all Christmassy and the whole audience applauded when the film finished. The venue has that old fashioned feeling that reminds you of how a visit to the cinema used to be. Make a date for next December and give the family a real Christmas treat. My two teenagers were sceptical but they agreed it was indeed 'Wonderful'!
Fantastic service, great atmosphere and amazing value for money. Best cinema I have ever been to. Looking forward to my next visit.
