Glasgow Film Terms & Conditions

1. Please note that Glasgow Film Theatre (GFT) and Glasgow Film Festival (GFF) tickets are non-refundable. Refunds will only be made in the event of a performance being cancelled.
2. At the discretion of the manager, GFT tickets may be exchanged for another performance at the cost of £1.50 per ticket. This exchange must be processed no later than two hours before the start time of the original film. If tickets are not of equal value, the additional cost will also be charged, or, in the case of an exchange from a more expensive ticket to a cheaper one, the outstanding amount will be retained by GFT after the exchange fee has been deducted. GFF tickets can only be exchanged under exceptional circumstances, again at the discretion of the manager and at the additional cost of £1.50 per ticket, for other GFF tickets.
3. Complimentary ticket vouchers or Cinecard complimentary vouchers are valid for standard-priced GFT performances only (where tickets are available) and cannot be used for Glasgow Film Festival performances, unless otherwise stated.
4. Tickets can be booked in advance online or over-the-phone (subject to availability). Please note that phone bookings will incur a £1.50 booking fee. There is no additional charge for online booking.

6. Please request any concessions at the time of purchase. Concessions cannot be applied after purchase. Proof of concession status will be requested when purchasing or collecting tickets. Please note that the student discount is applicable for full-time students only.
7. Entry for any given performance will be permitted up to 15 minutes after the advertised start time. Late entry for ticket-holders is at the discretion of the Duty Manager. Cinema managers reserve the right of admission and their decision is final. Please note that GFF performances are not preceded by adverts and trailers, starting promptly at the stated time. Ticket-holders will not be admitted after the advertised time.
8. During film screenings, we request patrons refrain from talking or making noises which could distract others and also from using any form of light source which could affect the enjoyment of fellow audience members. The use of mobile phones and e-cigarettes is not permitted in the cinema. This is due to the emission of light from such items which can spoil enjoyment of the film for others.
9. All seats are unreserved, unless otherwise stated.
10. Hot food is not permitted to be consumed within our auditoria.
11. For licensing and health & safety purposes, we do not permit alcohol purchased outwith GFT to be consumed on the premises. This also extends to GFT/GFF performances taking place at external venues. Where appropriate, bar facilities will be provided at special events for the purchase of alcohol. Please check specific performance listings for information. Please note that bag checks may be carried out by stewards at GFT and GFF events. Alcohol and/or glass bottles will be confiscated and returned to owners at the end of a given performance.
12. Please note that GFT does not offer any storage facilities for personal or luggage items.
13. For special event performances taking place outwith Glasgow Film Theatre (and, during Glasgow Film Festival, CCA Sauchiehall Street and Cineworld Renfrew Street), tickets will be available for collection from the GFT Box Office up to two hours prior to doors open time. After which time, tickets can be collected from the venue one hour before doors open time.

Accessibility Bookings

1. CEA card holders may purchase their ticket plus carer ticket in person at the box office or by phone. This is subject to availability and is not available online.
2. All access requests including wheelchair spaces must be confirmed with GFT Box Office. Booking online does not guarantee or indicate specific access needs as the majority of performances are unreserved seating.

Gift Vouchers

1. All tickets, memberships and services are subject to availability.
2. Gift vouchers are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase and can be used to purchase both GFT and GFF tickets/memberships. Please note that gift vouchers cannot be extended beyond their expiry date.
3. GFT reserves the right to restrict the use of Gift Vouchers in the event of exceptional circumstances.
4. Vouchers cannot be exchanged for cash or further gift vouchers.
5. Any outstanding change from a gift voucher transaction will be given in the form of a new voucher (valid for a further 12 months) containing the remaining value.
6. Gift vouchers cannot be redeemed at the GFT bar or external venue bars.
7. Gift vouchers cannot be redeemed on the Glasgow Film At Home platform.
8. Vouchers may not be redeemed against the value of previously purchased tickets.
9. Vouchers can be exchanged in person at the Box Office, online or over the phone. Vouchers redeemed online or over the phone should be presented when collecting purchases.
10. Lost, stolen or damaged gift vouchers will not be reissued. Vouchers are sent through the post at the customer’s own risk. Gift Vouchers purchased over the phone can be posted at additional charge for Royal Mail first or second class recorded delivery.

Loyalty Points

1. Loyalty points are generated by Cinecard and 15-25 memberships at 5 points per pound, per Box Office transaction.
2. Points can only be redeemed against the whole price of standard-priced tickets for GFT performances.
3. Tickets for Glasgow Film Festival cannot be purchased using loyalty points. However, points will be accrued for tickets purchased for GFF performances.
4. Loyalty points cannot be exchanged for cash.
5. Loyalty points are added to member balances 24 hours after the performance that generated them has passed.
6. Membership cards must be produced at the box office at the time of purchase to receive loyalty points. Points cannot be credited once a transaction has been completed.
7. Loyalty points expire after 12 months.
8. Points cannot be redeemed at in the GFT bars.

Cinecard Membership

1. Cinecard memberships are valid for 12 months from their start date and cannot be extended past this expiry date.
2. A GFT account with a valid e-mail address must be attached to the membership at the time of purchase to allow full access to online Cinecard benefits.
3. Cinecard gift memberships must be redeemed six months after purchase and exchanged for a 12-month Cinecard membership, either online or at box office.
4. Cinecard members are eligible for a £1.50 discount on full-price or concession standard-priced tickets for GFT or GFF performances. Members can also benefit from a discount of up to £5 on broadcast performances such as NT Live or Bolshoi Ballet.
5. Cinecard complimentary ticket vouchers are valid for 12 months after the date of purchase. Expiry dates for complimentary ticket vouchers cannot be extended.
6. Cinecard discount is not available in conjunction with any other offer.

15-25 Membership

1. 15-25 membership is valid from the bearer’s 15th birthday until the day before their 26th birthday.
2. Valid proof of age identification is required when applying for the membership.
3. Members are eligible for £6 tickets on GFT standard-priced performances and £6.50 on GFF standard-priced performances.
4. 15-25 discount is not available in conjunction with any other offer.
5. A GFT account with a valid e-mail address must be attached to the membership at the time of purchase to allow full access to online 15-25 benefits.
6. Please note that 15-25 memberships can take up to 5 working days of application to create and cannot be created shortly before a screening start time.

Glasgow Film Festival Industry Delegate Pass

1. Industry Delegate Passes are valid from 1 – 12 March 2023.
2. Successful GFF Industry Delegate Pass applications require industry accreditation. For more details please visit the GFF website https://glasgowfilm.org/glasgow-film-festival/industry. Purchasing a membership does not guarantee accreditation.
3. Pass holders receive access to the festival rush queues, subject to availability.
4. Passes are not eligible to use for free events, special events, galas, Festival for £6.50 and are not included in multi-buy offers.
5. Not available in conjunction with any other offer.
6. Pass holders receive access to Industry Focus events during GFF. Entry to events is available on a first come first served basis, some events require pre-registration.
7. Industry passes are not refundable or transferrable. Accredited pass-holders who are unable to attend will be given alternative access to the Press and Industry streaming platform content.

Multi-Buy Discounts Various multi-buy discounts may be available on selected seasons throughout the year, as well as Glasgow Film Festival tickets. You can find details of these on particular film and season listings. Discounts are automatically applied online or at Box Office when eligible ticket combinations are placed in the customer basket.

1. Tickets must be purchased in the same transaction for the discount to apply.
2. Offer eligible for standard-priced tickets only. Free events, special events, galas and Festival for £6.50 tickets are not included in multi-buy offers.
3. Not available in conjunction with CineCard discount or 15-25 Card discount.
4. Tickets purchased using a multi-buy offer cannot be refunded or exchanged.
5. Maximum of 2 multi-saver tickets per performance.
6. Not available in conjunction with any other offer.
7. Not available in conjunction with Child tickets.

Compare the Market 2-4-1 Offer

1. Offer valid for performances taking place on Tuesdays and Wednesdays only (subject to availability), but can be booked in advance over-the-phone.
2. Valid for standard-priced performances only.
3. Not valid for Glasgow Film Festival performances.
4. Cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer.
