Membership terms and conditions

1. Joining the Scheme

1.1. 15-25 Card Membership is free and will be given on application.

1.2. 15-25 Card members are required to provide their first and last names, postcode, email address, telephone number and date of birth.

1.3. Scheme members may be requested to provide details of their preferences.

1.4. GFT CineCard holders are signed up to collect loyalty points automatically as part of their CineCard benefits.

1.5. Membership is not open to Glasgow Film staff.

1.6. GFT CineCards and 15-25 Cards are separate offers and cannot be used in combination.

2. Earning Points

2.1. Scheme members will earn 5% in points of the value of each ticket they buy provided that the 15-25 Card/CineCard is presented at the time of the purchase (or added to an online purchase when logged in). One point = £1, so for every pound spent on cinema tickets, 0.05 loyalty points are earned.

2.2. GFT reserves the right to vary the points issued on qualifying purchases.

2.3. You must spend at least £1 in a single transaction for the transaction to qualify for points.

2.4. You do not qualify for points on purchases that you pay for with points.

2.5. The card does not allow points to be used as part payment. The full number of points is required and these will be deducted from the total on your card.

2.6. Points cannot be added to an account retrospectively.

2.7. Points are added to cardholders’ accounts instantly.

2.8. GFT may, at their discretion, hold promotions at various times to enable cardholders to earn additional points.

2.9. Points do not have an expiry date.

2.10. Some special events will be exempt from points.

2.11. Points have no monetary value until converted into rewards.

2.12. Points cannot be collected on 3D supplements, transaction fees, merchandise, publications, bar purchases, hires or CineCard purchases.

2.13. Points can also be collected for Glasgow Film Festival tickets.

3. Claiming Rewards

3.1. Cardholders can use points on their account to claim rewards offered by GFT.

3.2. Points cannot be used for the purchase on which the points have been awarded.

3.3. The total on the cardholders’ accounts will be reduced by the number of points redeemed.

3.4. At the discretion of GFT, in the case of refunds, points will be re-credited to your 15-25 Card or CineCard. No cash refunds will be given in these circumstances.

3.5. GFT may, at their discretion, hold promotions at various times to enable scheme members to use their points to obtain additional points or rewards.

3.6. Any product may be excluded from the scheme at the discretion of GFT.

3.7. Points cannot be used to get free tickets to premium priced events.

3.8. Points cannot be redeemed on gift vouchers, bar purchases, 3D supplements, booking fees or merchandise.

3.9. If scheme members use points to get a free ticket for a 3D film they will still need to pay the 3D supplement.

3.10. Points can also be redeemed on Glasgow Film Festival standard price tickets, for events at GFT only. Some special events will be exempt.

3.11. Proof of identification may be required when redeeming points at box office.

3.12. Points can only be redeemed at GFT Box Office, not online.

4. Free Youth Screenings

4.1. Each month, we will offer 15-25 Card Members a free ticket for a film screening either in-person at GFT or online on Glasgow Film At Home.

4.2. In order to access your free ticket, please email by the deadline specified on the 15-25 Card info page. You will need to provide your name, age and an email address for each person who requests a ticket.

4.3. You must be a GFT 15-25 cardholder or be referred by one of our partner organisations to use this code.

4.4. Codes are only valid for the designated Youth Screening film and only on the day and time of the in-person screening, or while the film is available on the platform.

4.5. Spaces are limited and allocated on a first-come-first-served basis.

4.6. If the film is screening on Glasgow Film At Home, please note that once you hit play, you have 24 hours to watch the film.

5. Account Termination

4.1. Scheme members must keep their accounts active by adding points or claiming rewards regularly.

4.2. Scheme Members’ accounts will expire (and all the points will expire) if the account has not been used for 365 days or more.

4.3. GFT reserves the right to withdraw accounts at our sole discretion if we reasonably believe that there has been any abuse or attempted abuse of the scheme.

6. Scheme Expiry

5.1. The Scheme does not have an expiry date. However, we reserve the right to amend any part of the scheme, or end it at any time, by giving a minimum of six months’ notice, which shall be given by notifying cardholders on

7. Scheme Operation

6.1. GFT can reissue cards that have been lost or stolen, at their discretion.

6.2. 15-25 Card membership will expire when the customer reaches the age of 26. The 15-25 Card must be returned to GFT.

6.3. CineCard members who do not wish to renew their annual CineCard membership can join the Loyalty Card. All points accrued can be transferred to the new Loyalty Card. The CineCard must be returned to GFT.

6.4. 15-25 Cards and CineCards are issued by and remain the property of Glasgow Film Theatre, who retain the right to withdraw the card at any time, or to alter, amend or terminate the scheme with six months’ notice.

As per Scottish Government restrictions, seats available for all shows from 27 December to 23 January will be capped to meet the 1m social distancing requirement.
