Voyageuse + Q&A

Director May Miles Thomas will attend the screening on Thu 1 Mar.

The eagerly awaited new feature from director May Miles Thomas (The Devil's Plantation) is inspired by her late mother-in-law Erica Thomas. Erica died in 2004 and her legacy included a vast collection of photos, films, documents and objects, revealing aspects of her story that were previously unknown to her children. Voyageuse is an ingeniously constructed biography of a woman born in Hungary in 1933, whose life reflected the trauma of key world events in the 20th century. Siân Phillips gives voice to a beautifully written script on one woman’s ordinary life, lived through extraordinary times.
