Details

In Paris in 1844, at the age of 26, Karl Marx met Friedrich Engels, son of a factory owner, who had studied the sordid beginnings of the English proletariat. Together, between censorship and police raids, riots and political upheavals, they presided over the birth of the labour movement, which grew into the most into the most complete theoretical and political transformation of the world since the Renaissance. This new film by I Am Not Your Negro director Raoul Peck is both intellectually stimulating and engagingly free-spirited.
