Details

Based on the graphic novel by Bastien Vivès, Polina is a gorgeous coming-of-age film following the artistic growth of a young Russian ballet dancer from her childhood training for the Bolshoi through to her final career in contemporary dance. Polina wants to dance. But her creativity is hard to reconcile with the rigours of classical ballet at the Bolshoi. She needs to find her own voice, no matter how difficult that may be. Full of stunning dance sequences, Polina is a beautiful story about finding your inner strength and confidence in order to be creatively fulfilled.
