Dazzling MGM biopic of Australian swimming champion and entertainer, Annette Kellerman. After overcoming polio, Kellerman (Esther Williams) achieves fame but finds herself at the centre of a scandal when her one-piece bathing suit is considered indecent. This large-scale biographical drama includes spectacular choreography by Busby Berkley. Originally called ‘One Piece Bathing Suit’ on its UK release 1952, it was Oscar-nominated for cinematography.
