Image for Journeys to the Moon

On July 20, 1969, Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin landed the Eagle on the surface of the moon, whilst Michael Collins remained in the Lunar Orbiter. In Houston and beyond, an army of technical, engineering and design support had made it all possible. It remains the greatest technological achievement of human civilisation and it signalled the emergence of space exploration as an essential part of modern society. We mark this 50 year anniversary with a short season of films exploring and interrogating this most extraordinary accomplishment.
