Any fashion designer can stage a runway show. Only Jean Paul Gaultier could pull off a fashion freak show. Renowned as the enfant terrible of French fashion, at his first show in 1976 he fused high style with a punk ethos. This subversive nature has shaped his career. In this feature documentary, director Yann L’Hénoret follows Gaultier and Co for six months, providing a rare insight into this crazy world and the hard work, creativity and planning that went into shaping Gaultier’s most outrageous project yet.
A short film will screen alongside this film as part of the Mobile Film Festival.
