Sheetal and Saraswoti met as teenagers in a Kathmandu refuge, both survivors of child trafficking to Indian circuses. Even When I Fall traces their journey as they reclaim the incredible circus skills they were forced to learn, and begin to build a future against all odds. Along with other young trafficking survivors, they form Nepal’s first and only circus, creating a livelihood and working to challenge the deep-seated stigma against trafficked women. This beautiful film harnesses the visual spectacle of the circus to give a unique perspective into the complex world of human trafficking.
