Details

Nicolas Cage stars as Rob, a reclusive truffle hunter, whose beloved truffle-finding pig goes missing. A chef mastering earthy dishes, he must return to Portland and his previous life in the hospitality world in search of his beloved foraging animal, going after her pig-nappers. Following the heart-warming documentaries Gunda and The Truffle Hunters, this is clearly the Year of the Pig. With Cage up front and centre, he is joined in the Oregon wilderness by award-winning actor, musician, singer, and composer Alex Wolff.

These films are screening Scotland-wide as part of the 74th edition of Edinburgh International Film Festival, supported by the Scottish Government's Festivals Expo Fund. EIFF 2021 takes place from 18-25 August, with in-person and online events. Join in the conversation and find out more at edfilmfest.org.uk
