Details

The world looks very different from the night shift. Two wry and empathetic portraits of female cleaners offer new perspectives on the peculiar dynamics of shift work.

Join us for a special screening of La Camarista (The Chambermaid) from director Lila Avilés. A conscientious chambermaid pushes herself to the limits for a promotion in this darkly funny capitalist satire set in a glamorous Mexico City hotel. The film will screen alongside Fannie’s Film, a short film from Fronza Woods.

Screening as part of punch in / out: iterations of labour, a season exploring how the world of work intersects with class, race and gender.

Organised by Femspectives and Invisible Women, in partnership with STUC Women's Committee and Glasgow Film Theatre. Supported by Film Hub Scotland.
