GFT, together with The National Autistic Society Scotland is delighted to provide Access Film Club: screenings and post-film discussions in a friendly and welcoming environment. GFT is the first cinema in the UK to receive the Autism Friendly Award 2017.

Greta Gerwig’s critically acclaimed and Oscar nominated directorial debut announces her as a bold new cinematic voice, telling a story filled with humour and pathos, of a turbulent bond between a mother and her teenage daughter. Christine “Lady Bird” McPherson (Saoirse Ronan) fights against - but is exactly like - her wildly loving, deeply opinionated and strong-willed mother (Laurie Metcalf), a nurse working tirelessly to keep her family afloat. Set in Sacramento, California in 2002, amidst a rapidly shifting American economic landscape, Lady Bird is an affecting look at relationships, beliefs, and the beauty of a place called home. All tickets £5.50.
