Overview

Glasgow Film Theatre is situated in the heart of Glasgow city centre, just a stone’s throw from bustling Sauchiehall Street and the world-renowned Glasgow School of Art. We have three theatre-style auditoria of differing capacities and a meeting room, all of which are available for hire for a variety of different private functions. We can accommodate corporate events, product launches, private screenings, cast and crew screenings, conferences, gaming parties, meetings, and briefings.

Complementing our auditoria are state-of-the-art audio/visual facilities, encompassing both digital and 35mm/70mm projection, as well as presentation and virtual meeting software (including Wi-Fi access throughout the building). Expert technical assistance is included with all hires and a full range of microphones is also available.

For further details about hires and availability please complete the hire request form below. When contacting us, please include as much information as possible, including dates, times, the nature of the hire, and number of anticipated attendees. If a proposed hire will involve screening a film, please include the desired film title(s) and indicate if you own the rights to exhibit them. Where commercial films are required, meaning that you do not own the rights to show them, the film hire will be added to the screen hire.

Please note that afternoon and evening screen hires can only be accommodated Monday to Thursday – see time slots on the booking form below – and these can be booked no later than 4 weeks in advance. Morning hires can be scheduled between 10:00 and 12:00 Monday to Friday, depending on availability.

CINEMA 1

Our main cinema screen seats 394 with 4 wheelchair spaces accessible via lift from the downstairs foyer and infrared induction loop system for the hard of hearing. This screen also features a baby grand piano and internet access.

Cinema 2

CINEMA 2
This medium-sized auditorium seats 142 with 2 wheelchair spaces accessible from the main foyer and an infra-red induction loop system for the hard of hearing. Like Cinema 1, this screen also features a baby grand piano and internet access.

Cinema 3

Cinema 3 Info

CINEMA 3
Our smallest screen seats 60 with flexible space to accommodate up to 2 wheelchairs, accessible from the ground-floor foyer, and an infra-red induction loop system for the hard of hearing. Internet access is also available.
