Visible Cinema: Casablanca + introduction
Join us for our monthly Deaf-friendly screening event.
Set in Morocco during the Second World War, Casablanca revolves around Rick’s Café — the gathering place for the good, the bad and the ugly. One day, of all the bars in all the world, Rick’s long-lost love, Ilsa walks in with her resistance leader husband, Victor. Rick is pulled into both a love triangle and a web of political intrigue.
There will be an introduction by freelance film programmer Rosie Beattie about Casablanca and its enduring place as one of the greatest love stories in film.
There will be full access for Deaf, deafened and hard of hearing cinema-goers at this screening. The film will have descriptive subtitles, and the introduction and discussion will have Live Captioning and BSL interpretation. There are no ads or trailers before the film. All tickets £6.90.DramaPT1H42MU2025-02-18Humphrey Bogart
