Alexandros Avranas gives a Greek Weird Wave twist to the real-life medical condition of Child Resignation Syndrome – which sees children of asylum seekers slip into a coma-like state. Russians Sergei (Grigoriy Dobrygin), Natalia (Chulpan Khamatova) and their kids Alina (Naomi Lamp) and Katja (Miroslava Pashutina) are seeking leave to remain in Sweden. When the family learns that their application is rejected, Katja mysteriously falls seriously ill.
