Nosferatu

The most hotly anticipated film of 2025 on Letterboxd and certain to be a big contender this awards season, Robert Eggers' (The VVitch, The Lighthouse, The Northman) Nosferatu is a gothic tale of obsession between a haunted young woman and the terrifying vampire infatuated with her, causing untold horror in its wake. A homage to the 1922 German Expressionist silent horror film of the same name, this monumental indie masterwork boasts an all-star cast, including Bill Skarsgård as the reclusive vampire Count Orlok, Lily-Rose Depp as the tormented Ellen Hutter, Nicholas Hoult as her husband Thomas Hutter, and Willem Dafoe as the vampire hunter Professor Von Franz.
