Movie Memories: Guess Who's Coming to Dinner
Two white, middle-class, supposedly liberal parents must confront their prejudices when their daughter arrives home with her new fiancé, a brilliant research physician, who is Black. The young man tells the parents that unless they give their unreserved consent, he will not marry their daughter. This 1967 drama stars Academy Award winners, Sidney Poitier, Katharine Hepburn, and Spencer Tracy. Movie Memories is GFT's dementia-friendly film programme, designed to enable people living with dementia to socialise in a safe and social environment. Everyone is welcome.
