Tracy's performance captures every loving father's exasperation and joy as the big day approaches. The financial and emotional ups and downs of planning your only daughter’s wedding are played out to perfection in this 1950 comedy. Tracy received the fourth of his nine Best Actor Academy Award nominations for his performance, and the film also earned nominations for Best Picture and Best Screenplay.
