Love & Basketball - 25th Anniversary
Monica Wright and Quincy McCall grew up in the same neighbourhood and have known each other since childhood. As they grow into adulthood, they fall in love, but they also share another all-consuming passion: basketball. As Quincy and Monica struggle to make their relationship work, they follow separate career paths through high school and college basketball and, they hope, into stardom in big-league professional ball. Glasgow Film Club takes place after our Sliding Scale Screening (choose from paying £0, £2, £4, £6, £8, £10). Anyone who has seen the film, no matter what screening they go to, is welcome at Glasgow Film Club. It is a place for our audience to socialise and explore films in a way that is meaningful to them. Meet our Community Engagement Coordinator, Nicola Scott, in the GFT Foyer after the screening ends at 8.09pm and we will walk together to Garnethill Multicultural Centre, which is less than a five minute walk from GFT. This venue has stairs at the front of the building and level access from the rear of the building. The room and facilities are all on one level, including an accessible toilet.
