Room on the Broom (2012, PG)

This wonderful adaptation of Julia Donaldson's beloved book is a great watch for young viewers. And at only 25 minutes, it's a quick watch for Primary classes! Starring Gillian Anderson and narrated by Simon Pegg, Room on the Broom follows a kind witch who can't say no when cute creatures ask for a ride on her broomstick!

Room on the Broom is available to watch for free on iPlayer. Our resource contains watching questions and some fun drawing activities.

The Mars Generation (2017, PG)

An amazing documentary for Primary 5 right up to S2. The Mars Generation looks at a group of teenagers taking part in NASA's Space Camp, while exploring our fascination with the planet Mars and the possibilities of one day reaching the Red Planet. Great for classes studying space and other STEM subjects, it looks into the history of space travel and the skills required to become an astronaut.

The Mars Generation is available on Netflix. Our resources contains watching questions, as well as questions on documentary filmmaking and designing a robot!
