Euan's Guide

Getting to the venue

  • There is a car park located at the venue, the Bridge car park, which is accessed via Westerhouse Road. From there, the entrance to Platform is up a ramp on the right, beside Glasgow Kelvin College. The car park is free and there are accessible spaces and blue badge holder spaces.
  • There are additional accessible parking spaces at the entrance on Bogbain Road, which also has ramp access to the venue
  • The Bridge car park, and the entrance on Bogbain Road can be used as drop off points
  • The nearest train station is Easterhouse Station. The venue is a 20 minute walk (approx 1 mile) away.
  • The nearest bus stop is on Bogbain Road directly across from the venue, and is served by bus routes 43, 60, 60A, 310 and X19

Venue access

  • The main entrances are through the Bridge Street car park or on Bogbain Road
  • Both these entrances are wheelchair accessible
  • Both these entrances are flush with the ground outside
  • Both these entrances have automatic doors
  • There is step free access to all areas of the venue
  • There is no accessible lift, but all areas of the venue are accessible step free

Inside the venue

  • Dementia Aware staff will be working at this event
  • There will be clear signage (words and images) to help you navigate the venue.
  • There are five accessible toilets all of which are wide enough for wheelchair users, have step free access and easy turn locks. All toilets on the first floor are gender neutral.
  • The café bar is fully accessible
  • There are induction loops at the reception and in the theatre. All seating rows are hearing loop accessible.
  • Service animals are welcome and water bowls for assistance dogs are available upon request.
  • Dementia Aware staff will be working at this event
  • There will be clear signage (words and images) to help you navigate the venue.

  • There will be seating available in within the space in a round table format
  • The space is fully wheelchair accessible. If you require an accessible seat please email or call 0141 332 6535 to book this.
  • The floor is dark painted wood
  • The venue is lit by theatre lights which will be adjusted to the most appropriate level of brightness
  • The venue is well ventilated
