UK Premiere

The townsfolk of Zalava are consumed with the possible presence of demons in their midst. In desperation, they turn to a local shaman who claims that he can provide a permanent solution to rid them of evil forever. When skeptic Gendarmerie sergeant Masoud confiscates the community’s firearms, he must then decide whether to hold strong or trust this shaman to quell the towns feverish paranoia.

Director Arsalan Amiri crafts an incredible tale that is eerily hilarious and examines how mob mentality can cause fear to override common sense. One thing is for sure, you’ll never be able to look at a glass jar the same way ever again!

This film is also screening online via Glasgow Film At Home.
