The screening on 1 March will be followed by a Q&A with director Yrsa Roca Fannberg and other key members of the crew.

Yrsa Roca Fannberg’s soulful, haunting documentary captures the end of an era in an Icelandic village that seems to exist at the edge of the world. Ulfar is the last in a long line of farmers. He lives in quiet contentment with his wife Oddny as they tend to their sheep, fish the sea, survive the howling Arctic winds and live at one with the land. This autumn is the last herding of the flock. Family members arrive from Reykjavik to mark the moment and pay their final farewells.

A poignant tale steeped in the sounds and atmosphere of the landscape and a way of life that is vanishing.
