You are guaranteed greatness when a CineMaster steps behind the camera. This is the festival strand devoted to filmmakers who have honed their craft, found their voice, developed their vision and become universally recognised as some of the most influential, inspirational artists working in the medium. This year’s line-up includes Japanese master Hirokazu Kore-eda exploring new territory in The Third Murder; French master Claire Denis on sparkling form with the elegant Let the Sunshine In, starring a radiant Juliette Binoche; and German master Wim Wenders showing himself to be an incurable romantic with his gorgeous love story Submergence, co-starring Alicia Vikander and James McAvoy. Expect sublime filmmaking from artists at the top of their game.
