Glasgow Film Club

We are excited to welcome you to Glasgow Film Club, a monthly club to chat about film.

Glasgow Film Club takes place after our Sliding Scale Screening (choose from paying £0, £2, £4, £6, £8, £10) of a new release. Anyone who has seen the film, no matter which screening they go to, is welcome at Glasgow Film Club.

It is a place for our audience to socialise and explore films in a way that is meaningful to them.

Our Glasgow Film Club pick for September is The Old Oak. In response to the widespread rioting and rising racist rhetoric of recent weeks in the UK, we at GFT felt that Ken Loach's most recent film offers a much-needed alternative perspective, so are bringing it back for more screenings. Loach's community-minded, anti-racist filmmaking aligns with the  GFT  ethos 'Cinema For All' and this film engages with the challenging times in a way that is honest, constructive and compassionate.

The Sliding Scale screening takes place on Wednesday 21 August at 5.30. Meet our Engagement Coordinator, Nicola Scott, in the GFT Foyer after the screening at 7.43pm for Glasgow Film Club.
