If you go down to the mortuary tonight you are in for an enormous surprise. André Øvredal’s (Trollhunter) wickedly entertaining chiller combines nerve-jangling suspense, graphic procedures and the blackest of humour to test the strongest of constitutions. Four Virginia residents are found slaughtered in their own home. What happened is a mystery. The crime scene contains the pristine corpse of an unknown woman. The police demand an autopsy so coroner Tommy (Brian Cox) and his son Austin (Emile Hirsch) set to work. The first incision reveals that something is horribly wrong.
