Our Birthday Programme
GFT screened its first film on 2 May 1974, so we are marking our birthday with a special season of classics on our big screens throughout the month of May.
The headline event is a week-long run of the brand new 70mm print of North by Northwest, Alfred Hitchcock’s irresistibly fun and spectacularly cinematic espionage adventure. Alongside this we are marking the passing of one of GFT’s most beloved filmmakers, David Lynch, with four films from the CineMaster of CineMasters. To round off our birthday weekend, we will also screen Singin’ in the Rain, one of those few perfect films that can never be seen too many times.
