GSFF co-founder Penelope Bartlett has worked extensively in short film exhibition, curation and production in the USA since leaving Glasgow in 2009. She is currently a programmer for The Criterion Channel on FilmStruck, a digital streaming service that launched in November 2016. She served as Director of Programming for the 2016 Palm Springs Shortfest, as well as at Chicago and Tribeca Film Festivals. She also writes and curates for the website shortoftheweek.com.

Penelope will discuss the current landscape for short film post-festival run. She will talk about new opportunities for online self-distribution, how to get noticed by the likes of Vimeo and Short of the Week, or picked up by boutique streaming services such as Criterion or Mubi. She will also share her top tips from the international festival circuit… expect some hot gossip on where to fight to get your film shown and where to avoid.

This session is unticketed and open to all festival passholders.
