The Open Pitch will see a series of pitches from filmmakers who have projects in development including from producers who have been a part of the Film Producer Accelerator with Sigma Films and Film City Futures. Projects will be pitched to panels of UK and international funders, distributors and sales agents.
For the audience it also serves as an excellent opportunity to hear from exciting projects in development, hear feedback from the funders and learn what funders are looking to support.
Decision makers taking part in the Open Pitch include representatives from Creative Scotland, Scottish Film Talent Network, Creative Europe Desk UK, Irish Film Board, Film London, Swedish Film Institute, Lionsgate UK, Bankside Films, Embankment, Revolver Amsterdam and many others.
Applications for the Open Pitch are open until 30th January and you will be informed shortly after if you have been chosen to present.
Criteria for the Open Pitch is:
-Projects can be from anywhere in the world
-Must have at least a completed script
-Must have a director and writer attached to the project (can be the same person)
-Film must be a feature length fiction or documentary
Projects pitching will be required to purchase a GFF17 Industry Focus Pass. Anyone with a pass can be part of the audience.
Open Pitch is a part of Film Producer Accelerator supported by Creative Skillset’s Film Skills Fund with BFI’s Film Forever National Lottery funds and Skills Development Scotland in partnership with Sigma Films and Film City Futures.
