Volunteering at GFF17

Recruitment for volunteer positions is now open!

Glasgow Film Festival is now entering its 13th year. Attracting over 41,000 admissions, we are the fastest growing international-standard film festival in the UK. In 2016 we screened over 70 UK premieres from mainstream crowd-pleasers to groundbreaking art house experimentation.

We rely on friendly faces to generate a welcoming atmosphere in our Festival venues and at our events and parties. Whether you’re a film buff with free time on your hands or are looking to break into a new career – there are many ways you can get involved!

Why volunteer?

Benefits include:

  • Free festival film ticket for every shift covered
  • Chance to meet new people and mingle with festival guests
  • Opportunity to get to know different venues around Glasgow
  • Improved understanding of festival delivery and event management
  • Improved interpersonal skills
  • Fun new experiences

To apply, please consider carefully which of the positions below interests and suits you best. Please be aware that there are limited vacancies for some of the roles so we recommend selecting a few roles you may be interested in, not just one.

The deadline for all applications is 23:59 on Wednesday 18 January 2017. Interviews will take place Friday 27 and Sunday 29 January and there will be training for your role pre-festival, dates for which are TBC.

We’re also recruiting for Glasgow Short Film Festival taking place in March so let us know in the application form if you’d also like to be involved.

Follow the link below to apply for volunteering. You’ll first have to register with our festival platform Eventival but some of the registration questions may not be relevant to you so feel free to skip them.
